Create your own version of The Quilt of Christmas Past, inspired by my scrappy vintage Christmas quilt!
Please Note: This is a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD- No physical product will be mailed. ALSO NOTE: This is a quilt block + layout guide, NOT a traditional step-by-step quilt pattern. Please read the description carefully before purchasing.
This guide gives you a blueprint so you can create your own version of The Quilt of Christmas Past while also practicing some of the skills involved in independently planning a quilt.
What is included:
Gridded diagrams for both finished quilt blocks required to make this pattern.
Finished and cutting measurements for each piece.
Piece quantities needed to construct each block.
Suggested alternating block layout.
Suggested quilt size layouts ranging from over sized throw to over sized king.
Block quantities and finished dimensions for each suggested size.
Border guidance/suggestions
A fabric calculation cheat sheet.
Cutting estimates- to help determine your specific fabric requirements
An example showing how to calculate your estimated yardage requirements for your preferred quilt top size.
What's NOT included:
This guide does not include step-by-step block assembly instructions or pre-calculated fabric yardage for each quilt size. Rather, it provides the diagrams and calculation guides to determine how your blocks are assembled and how much fabric you need for your preferred quilt size and fabric placement.
Think of this as a blueprint rather than a traditional pattern. You'll have the information you need to recreate the design, but there is intentionally a little figuring-out involved. I think this is a great resource for quilters who want to become more comfortable reading a block from a grid, understanding quilt construction, adjusting quilt sizes, and learning how to calculate their own fabric needs accordingly.
